Tigran Mansurian: Nostalgia, Performed by Kristina Arakelyan live at the Holywell Music Room, Oxford

Kristina has given recitals most notably at the Wigmore Hall, Steinway Hall and St. Martin-in-the-Fields and she often performs her own compositions.

Kristina has extensive accompanying experience, having played entrance examination accompaniment at all the major UK conservatoires, including the RAM, RCM and Guildhall. She has repetiteuring experience at the Grimeborn Festival where she worked on the UK premiere of the opera Fire Ring by Avet Terterian and she has previously worked on George Benjamin’s opera Lessons in Love and Violence, among other operas.

She also regularly accompanies the ABRSM and Trinity syllabus examinations (Grades 1-8 and Diploma). If you are interested in talking to Kristina about playing as a soloist or an accompanist, please get in touch via the contact form below.

Watch Kristina's performance of Beethoven's Variations op. 34 recorded live at the Wigmore hall and listen to the composer's own interpretation of her piano piece, To The Stars.

Kristina’s piano solo interests are varied but she does have a particular interest in contemporary composers. She very much enjoys playing world premieres of new works, alongside any 21st century music. Of course, she loves the classics too, in particular the music of J.S. Bach, Beethoven and Chopin as well as music of the early 20th century, including Bartok, Debussy and Webern. Kristina enjoys performing her own work and loves to theme her recital programmes, concentrating on her musical influences, or other topics and enjoys interspersing her own works in programmes of more well-known composers.
